GB News’ Eamonn Holmes prompted comments of disbelief from fans after sharing a photo of himself with Manchester United star Harry McGuire following the team’s victory over Liverpool this weeekend.
Eamonn shared the photo to Instagram, writing in the caption: “Say what u want but Big Harry McGuire has only gone and done it again – Another winner!!!! What a servant and leader for our Club.”
He continued: “Plays with passion! #mufc#mufcfanpics#mufcfamily#bigharry.”
The celebratory post came after Manchester United secured a remarkable 2-1 victory at Anfield on Sunday, their first triumph at Liverpool’s ground since 2016.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring after just two minutes for the visitors.
Liverpool drew level through Cody Gakpo in the 78th minute, with Mohamed Salah providing the assist.
However, Mr Maguire sealed the win for United six minutes later, heading home from Bruno Fernandes’ excellent cross.
The result ended United’s nine-year wait for success at Anfield and marked their second consecutive Premier League victory this season.
Despite the celebratory post, fans of Eamonn were distracted by his youthful appearance in the picture, with many asking if he had used filters or AI.
One penned: “That doesn’t look like you?” to which the GB News Breakfast presenter responded: “I can assure u it is.”
Another asked: “How many years ago was this taken?!”
Another estimated: “This photo must be at least 30 yrs ago,” while someone else shared: “You look good Eamonn, younger.”

Eamonn often prompts significant fan responses when he shares social media posts, with a recent, poignant Instagram post seeing fans sharing their experiences with grief.
Earlier this month, he shared a candid reflection about his late parents.
Alongside a black and white photo of his parents, Josie and Leonard, he wrote: “Who do u think I look more like – my Mum or my Dad? Josie or Leonard?”
The post continued: “Although they have both passed away, I hear each of them in my head every day.
“I know what they would think and how they would advise me. When they would agree with me and when they wouldn’t.
“Laughter was a big part of all of our lives because of them.”
Ending the post, he poignantly added: “What a void they have left,” along with a sad face emoji.
