Angela Rippon told GB News at the TRIC Awards that she is a “proud member” of the family.
The legendary broadcaster said: “I am part of the GB News family, a proud member, of course. We’re up for two awards today. I know, isn’t that fantastic? Isn’t it amazing?
“I think any television channel, and any person who works in television, that gets recognised by an award should take it as an enormous compliment for the work that they do. I think you should be very, very pleased and proud of what you’ve achieved.
“Even better, these awards are voted for by the public, so our viewers are behind us one hundred per cent.”
